Story
THE MULROYS are performing artists and songwriting duo; Erik Mullin and TJ Royer. The two grew up together in Long Island, New York. Eventually, moving out to San Diego, California in the early 1990's, where they were entrenched in the vibrant music scene and founding members of "GROW" a diverse blend of Punk Rock Psychedelic Rock and Soul. After a long haul, Grow eventually disbanded. In the early days of the 2000's Mullin moved north and went on to form San Francisco rock outfit “The Wearies”. Royer, went on to play with San Diego favorites Dfrost and Tailgunner. After many years on the road, the time was right to make music together once again. The two reunited their talents writing new songs, recording and gigging their blend of spirited rock and roll with elements of Rock, Country, Reggae, and Blues, wrapped up in a relatable Pop sound. The duo released their Debut Ep "Somewhere Along The Way" in 2017 produced by former "GROW" band mate, Christian Cummings. The Mulroys can be seen bouncing up and down the California coast performing as an acoustic duo as well as backed by their live band. In 2019 The boys decided it was time to go back in the studio and record a full length album. They enlisted good friend and veteran rocker, Mark Maiggard (Louis XIV) on Drums and Michigan transplant Chris Diener on Bass. The Mulroys self- produced full length album "Splitsville" was released in June 2020. The music shimmers with blues tinged guitars and heartfelt lyrics that tell a story of loss and reflection.
